Sylvia Bramley passed away peacefully at home on Monday August 24, 2020, the very day she entered this world eighty-eight years ago. Briefly battling cancer, it was crucial to her to “be at home, in control and in charge” right to the end. Sylvia is survived by her loving sister, Lillian (Lil) Marshall and family (Deal, Kent, England), by a mighty core group of loyal female friends and by a community of dear acquaintances and neighbours from the Widow’s Walking Group, Sidney Lawn Bowling Club, Saturday morning coffee gang and Sidney shopkeepers. Sylvia will be reunited with her husband John and together their ashes will be scattered at sea. Sylvia was most appreciative of the incredible care and comfort she received from Saanich Peninsula Hospital, VIHA Community Care Nurses, Victoria Hospice Nurses, Sidney Senior’s Care and Dr. J. Phillips. Sylvia did not wish for a service or donations, preferring instead for those that knew her to gather over a pot of tea or bottle of wine, catching up on all of the day’s gossip. She loved a good story!
To Sylvia’s Friends our deepest condolences.
