Barbara Jeanette Demers – August 1942 – August 31, 2020

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our Mom, Wife, Grandma, Great Grandma and Friend after an unbelievably courageous and selfless battle with ALS.

Heart felt thank you to Dr. Ambrose Marsh for caring and going above and beyond. Thank you as well to Dr. Konia J Trouton from West Coast Assistant Dying for her compassion and support.

The nightmare before the storm
When life takes on another new norm

I’m flustered
I’m broken
I’m pissed right off

Who will we be without you in our lives ?
To guide…to inform…to share your wise

I’m not sure that I can go on
Not without you
My beautiful mom

We’ve had our ups
We’ve had our downs
It’s now the time to straighten our crowns

Truth be told…you are the best…so much better than the rest

With a boy named Bob
You began our family 60 years ago
Who needed you more than you can know

2 babies of your own
Gramma to 4
You have the greatest grandson
Just wish you had time
To love some more

I’ve seen it first hand
How tough you are
Through every road block
You plow to move far

When I get sad and miss my mother
Trust that I will carry on
Like no other

I’m proud of you & who you are

A part of my heart is missing, special friend of 50 years so many happy times filled with laughs, food, doing crafts and of course teas.Hours of visits and just enjoying each other.
I have so many memories that I will not forget ever. Barb you had so many talents that you shared with us, I sure enjoyed your humour and wit.
You will always be with me and also with the family. My prayers and Love to you all. I know she is at peace and with the Lord.

Gramma, you have set the bar high not only as a mother and grandparent, but as a friend. You lived your life always worrying about others and continued to do that even in your final days. Your humour and openness encouraged our family to lead with vulnerability and to never judge – thank you. I promise to share your stories, recipes and love for crafting forever. I promise to support and look after Papa and my mom undoubtedly. I promise to love hard, and never stop loving you. Now go have fun, play nice & be safe.

Respectful, caring, and accommodating

I met Leslie the day after my sweet Dad passed away. She was sensitive, respectful, caring, and accommodating.

The service she gave us from start to finish has been above and beyond, with her personally delivering a second urn to us one year later that should have been picked up by another family member.

I have come away from the whole experience with one final thought, I wish my Dad could have met her when he was alive, he would have enjoyed her too!
