Elizabeth Ada Ball

Elizabeth Ada Ball – July 16th, 1931 – March 25th, 2021

A Band of Angels held Beth’s hands as she made the passage from this life to follow those she fondly cared for. The last surviving member of her family, Beth was raised in Victoria, B.C., attended St. Ann’s Academy finishing school for girls, grew up on Cordova Bay ridge and spent most of her life with her family in and around Cordova Bay and Mt. Doug areas.
Predeceased by the love of her life William [ Bill ], daughter Cindy [ Rob ] and survived by five children, Michael [ Debbie ], Christopher [ Pamela ], Tim [ Liz ], Greg [ Meg ], Elizabeth [ Doug ], nine grandchildren, Andrew, Nicole, Marcus, Graham, Patrick, Katherine, Emily, Nigel, Olivia, four great grandchildren, Cayenne, Atreyu, Wolf, Deklin, many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
Beth devoted her life to her family. She was a graceful lady with a strong, quiet and gentle manner. She was a life long lover of animals leaving behind her last beloved Corgi, Sophie.
Being a talented and creative woman with whatever artistic pursuit endeavoured she excelled in any art that had to do with a needle, fabric and thread.
She loved beauty and nature, spending much of her life outdoors with her hubby and life long friends Ron and Ann as well as time spent together working in and enjoying their beautiful gardens.
Beth was surrounded by the love she gave in her final days. Special thanks to those who assisted her at home, Frances, Regine, Ingrid and her care team.
Thanks to Saanich Peninsula hospital staff, paramedics, Leslie and Mallory of Simply Cremations.
Gratefulness to Dr. F. Edora, moa Marie and Dr. M. McDonnell for their concern and care.
So much appreciation goes out to the Island Health team, Sandra, Jessica, Erica, Michele, Ginny, Dr. Pranger, the PCU staff, Dr. Easterbrook, Peter, Montana, Jeanne and fellow dog lover, nurse Lily, the last to hold Beth’s hand as she peacefully left.
The exceptional compassion and caring assistance by the Hospice Palliative Response team, Bernice, Misha, Annie, Judy and Nancy completed her amazing ” Band of Angels”.
IN THIS LIFE THAT’S SHORTER THAN A HALF TAKEN BREATH, WHY PLANT ANYTHING BUT LOVE.
