Moore, Jeanne Davena (Gordon)
Born March 7th, 1926 in Nipawin, SK passed away peacefully in Sidney, B.C. on February 27, 2022 just shy of her 96th birthday.
Jeanne moved to the Vancouver area at about 18. She was married to Richard “Dick” Moore for 57 years, who passed away in May 2013. Jeanne and Dick purchased property on Galiano Island in the 80’s and proceeded to spend many years constructing their island home to eventually retire there.
Jeanne was always active in the communities she lived in. She enjoyed traveling in the winters to Arizona with Dick and impromptu road travels with her sister Mary. She was short and sassy her entire 95 years and will be truly missed by her daughter Triss, nieces Shannon and Lee and several nieces and nephews in BC and Ontario. From teenagers to her passing, Jeanne was fortunate to have had lots of fun and support from her closest friend Ramona.
We would like to express our appreciation to all of the staff for her years at Amica in Sidney and the Saanich Hospital who took great care of her the last few months.

Per Jeanne’s wishes – no service and her ashes will be spread near her husband Dick on Galiano Island.
