In Loving Memory of Derek Hellinger
February 1982 – August 2022

Derek was born in Matsqui, BC. He was an adventurous, curious, and very smart boy who was up for anything and good at almost all of it!
He enjoyed the outdoors, sports, his pets, and playing the drums. Derek was a great and creative amateur chef.
He struggled as an adult after a motorcycle accident left him in pain. He loved his family and we were lucky enough to spend the last couple of years visiting with him regularly, and praying for him and with him that he would be able to fully recover.
In August 2022 at Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, Derek unfortunately passed away. Thankfully God had a plan, and Derek was able to give his last gifts by being an organ donor.
Derek will be forever missed by parents Edmund and Patricia Hellinger, sister Karlie Thompson (Josh, Lydia), son Jaxon, extended family and friends. The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord makes his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
