Robert Walter Jenkins
June 5, 1942 – April 24, 2023

Rob passed away peacefully at Saanich Peninsula Hospital, with his wife Carol at his side.

Rob was born in Neepawa MB and grew up on the family farm in Gladstone, graduating from Gladstone High School. he loved cars and worked for a time in the Gladstone Ford garage. He found his way out west in 1972 and was hired as a partsman at Peter Pollen Ford, which later became GlenOak Ford. Restoring old cars and attending car shows was his passion and for a few years he belonged to the Vintage Car Club of Canada, and then the Western Command, a group who restored old military vehicles. His pride and joy was a 1942 Willys Jeep that he entered in local parades and car shows.
Rob loved volunteering at the Saanich Historical Artifacts Society, and spent many happy hours in the tractor shop. His final personal restoration was a 1953 Massey Harris Colt.

Rob is survived by his wife Carol (married 42 years), miniature schnauzers Fez and Franny, sister Maxine Murray (Bob), numerous nieces and nephews.
