Robert Andrew Miller passed away January 14, 2024 after a brave eight month battle against the dreaded cancer.
Many people loved him – his partner Valarie, family in Victoria & Ontario, close friends in Sidney, Victoria, La Paz, MX and around the world; and his beloved dogs who are waiting for him across the rainbow bridge. He also leaves behind many close friends in La Paz, Mexico where Robert & Valarie wintered for many years.
He was an accomplished and hard working man in all aspects of his life. He loved to travel and experience first-hand many cultures around the world.
Robert fought the battle with cancer to the very end with strength, determination and dignity.
Valarie has nothing but praise for the incredible care he received over the last eight moths including Dr Poonja and staff at the BC Cancer Clinic, the Jubilee Hospital and the doctors and nurses in the palliative care unit at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital. A special thank you and deep appreciation to Robert’s doctor Rupert Whitehead.
In Robert’s words before he passed – I love Valarie, I love dogs and I’m a piece of work.
In lieu of flowers donations to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Saanich Peninsula Hospital are welcomed.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date on the water.
