Frank W. Lane (July 26, 1934 – January 04, 2025)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Frank Lane.
Frank passed away peacefully in Victoria General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eileen and his 4 children, Herb (Wendy), Janice (Steve), Barb and Shelley as well as 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Herb and Bill and sisters, Diane and Pat.
Frank was born in Premier, B.C. to Herbert (Bert) and Edith (Edie) Lane. In 1940, his family moved to Vancouver Island and settled on the Saanich Pennisula. Frank began working as a Boilermaker in 1953 at the HMC Dockyard in Esquimalt, serving there for 32 years before retiring to Brentwood Bay where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Frank will be greatly missed by relatives and friends alike.
A Celebration of Life for Frank will be held at the family home on Marchant Rd in Brentwood Bay at a later date.
