Marion Anne Moore died of brain cancer at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry, daughter Laura (Andrew), and dog Chance. Marion was also sister to Norris (Maya) and Teresa, and aunt to Catherine and Meris. She is predeceased by parents Allan and Gwen and nephew Patrick. Marion was an admirer of arbutus trees and wildflowers, and she loved gardening, photography, and researching family genealogy. In retirement, she enjoyed exploring with her hiking groups and friends. Marion is gone too soon and her sincere kindness, curiosity and humour will always be missed.
I would like to offer my sincere sympathy to Marion’s family…I only knew her through our hiking group but she was always such great company and truly appreciated all the beauty around us. I always picture her smiling. She will truly be missed.
Dear Jerry and Family
We were so sorry to hear about the passing of our beloved Marion. She was such a wonderful person! Her love of photography, especially of arbutus trees and wildflowers, and her enthusiasm for the outdoors always inspired her hiking buddies. We will miss sharing our explorations of nature with Marion, but we will always remember her when we see a particularly striking or unusual arbutus tree, knowing that she probably took a picture of it and that it gave her joy.
Take care Jerry and Chance.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Missing Marion,
James and Shelley Campbell
I am very saddened to hear of this loss. I have so many fond memories of growing up with Marion–all of our adventures. She was a great friend, so funny, always supportive and ready to join in on the fun. I am grateful to have had her in my life during those early years. My deepest condolences to the family.
