Gregg Steven Oakley – April 1960 – May 2020

Gregg passed away on May 31, 2020 in Victoria, BC. He leaves behind his loving daughter Katie (Oakley), who was by his side during his last days, and his loving daughter Brianna (MacDougall) of Kitchener, Ontario.

Gregg will be sadly missed by his brother Tom Oakley, sisters Sandy Grant & Joanne Cameron & their families. Gregg will also be missed by friends and co-workers who were deeply touched by his friendship.

Gregg’s ashes will be placed at God’s Acre Veteran’s Cemetery in Esquimalt (Victoria), BC. Internment to take place in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Royal Candian Legion, Branch 172 Poppy Fund would be greatly appreciated.

Katie and her mother Julie (Oakley) would like to acknowledge the care and support provided by nurses and doctors at Island Health Home care and Victoria Hospice.

Don’t even think about using anyone else.

Respectful, caring, and accommodating

I met Leslie the day after my sweet Dad passed away. She was sensitive, respectful, caring, and accommodating.

The service she gave us from start to finish has been above and beyond, with her personally delivering a second urn to us one year later that should have been picked up by another family member.

I have come away from the whole experience with one final thought, I wish my Dad could have met her when he was alive, he would have enjoyed her too!
