Patricia Rosina Bozman nee Paul

Patricia Rosina Bozman nee Paul

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Rosina Bozman on February 16, 2024 at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital after a brief battle with a rare and undiagnosed blood disorder. She leaves behind her loving husband and best friend, Dominic Bozman. They met September 10,1969. Her three children and their families: son Michael, daughter-in-law Sarah, and grandson Devon (Victoria, BC), daughter Andrea, son-in-law Binai, grandson Wiggo, and granddaughter Vega (Moss, Norway), daughter Megan, son-in-law Curtis, and grandson Colin (Victoria, BC), She also leaves behind her older sister Doreen Van Rhijn and husband Rick, and many more nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her parents Ted and Rosina Paul and her brother David Paul.

Pat worked for many years in the Campbell River School District as an elementary school educator. She had a positive impact on many students, instilling in them a love of reading and numeracy. In retirement, she delighted in teaching and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an awesome Grandma. She will be missed by many who came to know her.

As per Pat’s wishes, there will be no service. However, donations can be made to her favourite charities: The BC Cancer Agency and the Vancouver Island Marmot Recovery Foundation.

A special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital who gave Pat the best medical care and attention possible.

If love alone could have kept you here, you would have lived forever!

I am so sad to hear of Pat’s passing. She was a caring, thoughtful person. As W.H. Auden said, “she was your north, your south, your east, your west”,Dom. A partner and friend for life. I cannot imagine the sorrow you and your family are feeling. Perfect relief is not possible except with time and yet even then you will so miss Pat who has walked with you and beside you all these years. Thinking of you and your children and sending my condolences.

Dom, I was so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. Our deepest condolences to you and your family.
I have fond memories of playing with cousin Pat back in the 50’s when we lived in Vancouver and visiting them once, when we were all quite young. Thanks to my dear sister, Evelyn Reeve, hosting get togethers, we saw Pat a number of times over the years when we visited Vancouver Island. Those opportunities gave us time to reminisce and catch up with our families. Those were lovely visits. She will be missed and fondly remembered in our hearts.

We are sad to hear about Pat’s passing. I was never privileged to work with Pat but I certainly knew her reputation as a master teacher. She was a lovely person and a great wife and mother. We send condolences to you Dom, and all of your family.
