Timothy Charles Lawrence Michael Perkins

With such great sadness I must announce the passing of Timothy Charles Lawrence Michael Perkins. At 72 years, he knew the most superb joy came from being of service to others, in kindness, in generosity, in humour, in expertise, or in just giving directions, and he lived for that joy. Tim died Tuesday evening, at VGH, surrounded by his two sons, Tim Jr., and Tom, Tim’s wife Kay and their daughters Hana and Samantha, and me, Bonnie, his high school sweetheart, wife, partner and best friend for 53 years. Tim was born in Saint John’s Woods, London England, but fate sent him to Tottenham, Ontario, Canada, to me. Tim and I went to the fair 53 years ago. The Ticket was a marriage licence, given out in Alliston Ontario. He was a banker, an auto body man, a carpenter and financial advisor, helping everyone in any way he could, with his only payment towards the end being goodwill. We got to go on all the best rides, he and I, experiencing serenity and excitement, complete trust and so much laughter. But his Father in heaven called him home and now he has had to leave me, along with sibling Dan and his wife Betty Perkins, countless members of my O’Henly family, who all loved him as a cherished brother. The world has lost a good guy when it is so important to have good guys, and he will be missed.
