Vera Philip (née Zaalberg) passed away on February 23, 2025, in Victoria, British Columbia. Born on March 13, 1951, in Leiden, Netherlands, Vera lived a life marked by love and dedication to family.

Vera is lovingly remembered by her husband, Mike; her son, Lance, and daughter-in-law, Sue; her daughter, Lyn; and her cherished granddaughters, Katie, Sara, Molly, Eden, and Anna. Her beloved fur baby, Gracie, was a constant companion and source of joy.

Throughout her life, Vera touched the hearts of those around her with kindness and warmth. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Respectful, caring, and accommodating

I met Leslie the day after my sweet Dad passed away. She was sensitive, respectful, caring, and accommodating.

The service she gave us from start to finish has been above and beyond, with her personally delivering a second urn to us one year later that should have been picked up by another family member.

I have come away from the whole experience with one final thought, I wish my Dad could have met her when he was alive, he would have enjoyed her too!
